Welcome to Hopewell Elementary

Christina FrenchWelcome to Hopewell Elementary School! We are happy you are joining us to learn more about our students, school and activities.

Hopewell Elementary is the home of the Patriots. Our building was the fourth to be built in the Lakota school district and was first constructed in 1962 for $420,000. It also housed the first library in West Chester, in the basement of the school building.

In 1992, Hopewell was nationally recognized as a Blue Ribbon School of Excellence. Today, we still maintain the highest ratings in Ohio, for academic performance. We currently house about 700 students, in grades 2-6. We are proud of our diverse population that includes 17 percent English as a Second Language learners. There are 19 languages spoken among these families. We are located in the far corner of West Chester along Cox Road, just down from Hopewell Junior School. Stop by for a visit, as we welcome visitors!

Thank you for taking the time to visit our website and we look forward to sharing our Patriot Pride with you in the future.
